Prop Maker and Taker Records: A Public Side Flag Does Not Prove Your Fee
A public trade-side field describes a matched market event according to its schema. It does not automatically identify your order, fee tier or profitability. Keep public direction, private execution role and the actual charged movement separate.

Read the exact field definition
Bybit’s public-trade documentation defines S as the side of the taker. That is a specific source field, not a universal meaning for every variable named side. It does not establish that a particular account was the taker or maker in that event.
Use the actual private execution and applicable fee schedule for account classification. A resting order can require its own final execution evidence. This article does not assert any Bybit connection or particular maker/taker charging model for HashHedge.
Compare fictional fee inputs
For a supplied 1,000-quote-unit notional, an illustrative 0.01% rate gives 0.10 quote units and 0.03% gives 0.30. The difference is 0.20 under those explicit assumptions. Neither rate is a current provider quote or an account entitlement.
The lower rate alone cannot establish a profitable method. Fill probability, price, cancellation, other costs and the actual product conditions are outside this simple calculation. If the fee is charged in another asset, keep the debit and valuation source before reporting a cash amount.
| Record | Calculation | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| Public taker side | Buy orSell under named schema | No private-account role established |
| Illustrative feeA | 1,000 ×0.01% | 0.10 quote units |
| Illustrative feeB | 1,000 ×0.03% | 0.30 quote units |
| Difference | 0.30−0.10 | 0.20; not a profit forecast |
Keep the source schema beside the journal
The related resource preserves this site’s field-definition audit. For a Singapore display, retain the original event instant and the account identifier where applicable. A directional label should not become an inferred account execution or a signal of guaranteed advantage.
The optional sponsored HashHedge link leads to current programme information. No order, market-data subscription or account test is performed. The worksheet makes a field’s limited meaning visible before a fee or evaluation conclusion is assigned.
